Welcome to Centre for European Schooling
The Centre for European Schooling (CES) Dunshaughlin which is attached to Saint Seachnall’s National School and Dunshaughlin Community College is an accredited Type 11 European School. The CES opened on 1 September 2002 and caters for the educational entitlements of children whose parents are employed at the EU Food and Veterinary headquarters at Grange, Co. Meath. The students are enrolled at Saint Seachnall’s National School and Dunshaughlin Community College and attend the CES for some classes.
European Schools curricula are taught in all languages and one of the chief aims of the CES is to provide mother tongue teaching at primary and secondary levels in accordance with European Schools curricula and to prepare students for integration into a European School.
During the school year 2011 – 2012 the following mother tongue languages are taught:
Primary level: Dutch, Finnish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish
Post Primary level: Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish. |
